Posted by

SysAdmins or technical engineers sometimes needs to monitor some critical environments running at different timezones.

But how to know the exact timezone configured on Windows devices ? Let’s check that !

Tested on Windows 7 and Windows Server 2012 R2

Method:

1. Open CMD “command prompt”

2. Type : tzutil /g and hit on “Enter”

You will see something similar as the following example,

Example:

C:\Users\securitytweak> tzutil /g

Central America Standard Time

C:\Users\securitytweak>

So, at this time, the device named “securitytweak” is configured with CST timezone, which means “Central America Standard Time”.
